And the world of K-pop music is an ever growing full-fledged industry which was worth $578m as of 2019. And as of 2021, the net value just seems to increase day by day, and Big Hit Entertainment the company that formed BTS is alone $610m, which can only make one imagine how huge this industry is. And as already mentioned, the K – pop industry is dominating the global music industry with it’s music and bands like BTS who is considered to be the biggest boy band in the whole of universe and BLACKPINK who are considered to be the biggest girl group in the world with both of them achieving many feats daily.
And bigger the industry, bigger are it’s issues. Although the industry always makes sure that it’s idols maintain a clean image, which will make the fans admire them even more and because they K – pop singers are given the title of ‘Idols’, their agencies want them to be clean and perfect without any flaws, so as to live up to the title of ‘role models or idols’. But as the idol’s popularity rises, so does the hate and it almost becomes inevitable, and sometimes they are even hated for the most ridiculous reasons in the world, thus making their life difficult with all the unwanted negativity. And today we have a list of celebrities or K – pop idols with us, who are hated or subject to hate for some of the world’s most ridiculous reasons.
First we have on the list is BLACKPINK’s Jennie – Jennie is the vocalist and rapper of the group and also the first person to be selected as the member of the girl group. And she tops the list as she has many things on her list like from being a lazy dancer to dating scandals for being hated by the audience. She has been given the title “YG’s Princess”, as people think that she gets the best clothes in the group, remaining the other three behind, followed by people also think that she dates too much when she was caught up in a controversy for dating Kai of EXO and G – Dragon of Big Bang. And truly seems that she has a huge list to complain about.
Followed by Jennie is Wanna One’s Kang Daniel – Kang Daniel former group member of the boy band Wanna One, which disbanded in the year 2019. Wanna One was a 11 member group, thus it was huge and Kang Daniel was or is hated for being the most famous member and getting too much attention, thus snatching away the attention from the other members. Not only this, Kang Daniel was trolled for being a relationship with TWICE’s Jihyo, who was a rookie back then and people considered that he was too good for her.
Then comes BTS’s Maknae Line – BTS, the biggest boy band in the world, is a seven member group usually divided into Hyung line (elders) consisting of Kim Namjoon, Kim SeokJin, Min Yoongi and Jung Hosoek and maknae line (young ones) consisting of Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook by the fans. Follwed by the BTS Maknaes is EXO’s Kai – EXO’s Kai is one of the best dancers in the K – pop industry, but he is trolled for looking cocky and rude while dancing, like people really need to stop trolling these artists for such reasons.
