Can you Unmatch your tinder date like a pro?

Tinder's interface is straightforward: swipe left to reject someone and swipe right to match with them. It's excellent for casual browsing, but it may also lead to some awkward moments if you make a mistake. Tinder, thankfully, allows you to unmatch from anyone you've matched with. All you have to do now is start a conversation with them.

Quick tip: You can unmatch from someone you swiped right on by following these steps. You'll need to subscribe to Tinder Plus, Tinder Gold, or Tinder Platinum and use the Rewind feature if you swiped left on someone by accident and want to see their profile again.

On Tinder, how do you unmatch someone?

You can unmatch on the chat page if you've matched with someone, which means you've both swiped right on each other.

1. Open Tinder and tap the bottom toolbar's chat icon.

2. Tap the person's photo that you want to unmatch with. You can search for them if they don't appear in Messages or New Matches.

3. Tap the shield icon in the top-right corner of the conversation window that appears.

4. Select Unmatch From [Name] and confirm your selection.

Unmatching is irreversible. When you unmatch from someone, they will vanish from the Chat page and will no longer display in your feed.
