Rihanna kept her baby news a secret for the first few months of her pregnancy, even from her closest friends.

 

The "What You Do" singer, 33, told that the happy news didn't seem "real" at first, which is why she didn't share the news widely at first, as many parents-to-be do.

Rihanna revealed that she kept her pregnancy a secret from even her closest friends for months.

 

"It was more difficult for me to keep it from my posse because they're always around me and are aware of my habits." 'You don't want something to drink?' they say. 'You don't smoke?' And I'm eating everything I've never eaten before. They know I despise sweets, but I'm suddenly requesting cookies and donuts. The singer made her pregnancy announcement last month, revealing her baby bump beneath an unbuttoned pink jacket while walking around New York City with her partner, A$AP Rocky.

 

Rihanna, who has not disclosed her due date, posted a photo of her baby bump on Instagram earlier this month, captioning it, "how the gang pulled up to black history month."

 

This will be Rihanna and A$AP Rocky's first child. For years, they were rumoured to be romantically involved, and the rapper confirmed the news in an interview with GQ last May, calling Rihanna "the love of my life."
