Indians desire to experience a new location or activity on a real-world date.
It
appears that Indian singles are ready to resume in-person dates after dating
digitally for the past two years and meeting individuals online. After work or
class, 46% of Indian Bumble daters prefer to go on in-person dates. In fact,
compared to merely virtual encounters, more than 65 percent of daters surveyed
say they now prefer to go on in-person dates with their possible matches or
relationships. Hobby dates have also become one of the dating trends to look
forward to in 2022 as more people organize their IRL dates around their newly
acquired abilities or hobbies.
Dates
after work are at the top of the list. People's interest in IRL dating in India
has changed as a result of returning to jobs and institutions. After work or
class, 46% of Bumble daters prefer to go on in-person dates. GenZ prefers
in-person encounters more than Millennials (by 50%). (42 percent). One in four
daters likes to allow their possible match or partner to determine how to plan an
in-person date, while the majority of daters (51 percent) prefer to make
spontaneous decisions jointly when choosing in-person dates.

Indian
daters are choosing a variety of experiences to get to know their online
connections on their first IRL dates, such as going to a newly opened restaurant in
the neighborhood to eat out, taking pottery classes together on the weekends,
or looking into an adventurous date to go hiking together.

59 percent of daters prefer going out for drinks, 77% of them prefer eating
out.
· Three-quarters
of singles prefer adventurous dates.
· While
75% of Indian singles have acquired new interests and talents as a result of
the pandemic, 30% prefer hobby- or skill-based activities.
· The
majority of daters (61%) who plan to go on an IRL date say that the main
consideration is to explore a new location or activity.
· The
number one consideration for women (51%), before deciding to go on an in-person
date, is how much effort their possible match or partner puts into arranging a
date.
The
study also identified the kinds of discussions daters are looking for on their
initial real-world dates:
· On
their first in-person date, 86 percent of daters enjoy talking about interests
and passions they have in common.
· On
their first in-person date, 66% of daters prefer to talk about their jobs or
professions.
· On
their first in-person date, 70% of daters like to talk about their travel
experiences (destinations they have been to or hope to visit).
· On
their first in-person date, 61% of daters find it enjoyable to talk about their
childhood experiences.
· On
their first in-person date, 49% of daters prefer to talk about their friends
and family.
· On
their first in-person date, 25% of daters want to talk about hot-button themes
(current events, politics).
