Gender,
diversity, and equal opportunity concerns within the Human Brain Project
Throughout the Human
Brain Project, concerns like gender, diversity, and equal opportunities are
addressed.
The achievement of goals
in all work packages depends on challenges like gender mainstreaming and
diversity management. We are in charge of promoting equality of opportunity
within the HBP community, for instance through initiatives and policies about
leadership culture and professional development. Additionally, we support the
Human Brain Project's efforts to incorporate diverse features into their study.
By utilizing a varied and
frequently underutilized talent pool, diversity and gender equality policies
encourage creativity while balancing work allocations and career prospects.
This helps to dispel prejudices against all genders regardless of educational
background or role in the project. We ARE HBP, or Work for and Engage in
Activities and Research for Equality in the HBP, encompasses governance
structures and activities that support the HBP and BRAINS as well as
responsible research and innovation.
The Human Brain Project
will show how a network of top researchers can encourage equality. It will
serve as an excellent example for initiatives sponsored by the European Union
that are complicated and have far-flung partners. The WE ARE HBP vision
emphasizes diversity because it recognizes how equality of opportunity across
cultures, disciplines, tasks, and sexes promotes achievement, creativity, and
teamwork.
