Google has in agreement
to pay $118 million to settle a class-action gender discrimination legal
proceeding concerning fifteen,500 feminine workers.
In a statement Friday,
attorneys for the plaintiff’s same Google — a unit of Alphabet INC. GOOGL,
+1.05% GOOG, +1.15% — will offer an associate degree freelance third-party
labor economic expert to research the company’s pay equity and hiring
practices, to confirm feminine workers aren't paid but their male counterparts
doing equivalent work.
The legal proceeding was
filed in 2017 by 3 ladies WHO claimed Google placed them at lower job levels
than equally qualified male staff and denied them promotions or transfers to
alternative groups, leading to lower pay and preventive job advancement, in
violation of California’s Equal Pay Act. The settlement covers fifteen,500
former and current feminine workers utilized by Google since September 2013.

her entire career within the school trade, I’m optimistic that the actions
Google has in agreement to require as a part of this settlement can guarantee

Google confirmed the
