After
fake TikTok sonograms, Zendaya shuts down pregnancy rumours.
Fans
of Spider-Man: No Way Home, take a deep breath and relax. Michelle
"MJ" Jones is not expecting a child. Zendaya used Instagram to debunk
reports that she and her fiancé and co-star Tom Holland are expecting a child.
‘See
now, this is why I stay off Twitter.’ Zendaya tweeted beside a black-and-white
photo, adding, ‘Just making stuff up for no reason...weekly.’
The
rumour mill, however, began churning on TikTok rather than Twitter. A
Photoshopped screenshot of Zendaya's Instagram was used in the now-viral video
to make it appear as if she had uploaded an ultrasound. Kris Jenner then dances
to the song "Lady Marmalade" in the video.
Like
other internet crazes, this video sparked a frenzy of online users
disseminating the news of Zendaya's alleged pregnancy. So much so that the
Euphoria actress' name has become a trending topic on social media.
While
a Spider-Man baby isn't in the cards anytime soon, Zendaya and Tom appear to be
in good shape. ‘Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest,’
she wrote on June 1 in a tribute to Tom for his birthday.
Since
the first edition of their superhero films together in 2017, the fan-favourite
couple has been speculated to be dating on and off. The couple was photographed
kissing at the airport in July 2021, confirming their romance.
Zendaya
told ET in April that she relies on her relationship while working in the
industry, stating, "I think it's amazing to have that support and love
around you, because you need it." "Because this isn't an easy job,
it's nice to have that to take your mind off it now and then."
