CSR, a seven-member girl group, releases its debut EP, "Sequence: 7272."
On Wednesday, the brand-new K-pop girl group CSR released its first EP, "Sequence: 7272," under the Pop Music banner.
According
to the Korean age system, each member of the seven-piece act, which includes
Sua, Geumhee, Sihyeon, Seoyeon, Yuna, Duna, and Yeham, is 17 years old.
Cheotsarang, the group's Korean moniker, which translates to "first
love," is the abbreviation "CSR."
A
day before the album's online release at 6 p.m. on Thursday, CSR held its first
media showcase in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, in the heart of Seoul, on Wednesday.
The
debuting trio debuted the music video for "Pop? Pop!," the album's
lead tune, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday to kick off the event.
Sua,
the group's leader, said during the performance, "It still hasn't set me
that we finally made a debut today." "For the last five years as a
trainee, I've been hoping for this day to arrive. It's really moving, and I'm
thrilled to introduce myself to the audience as I truly am.
The
band wants to bring back fleeting feelings of first love. It intends to depict
varied perspectives on first love and chronicle the participants' yearly
maturation. According to Yeham, this year's topic is "a young person's
movie on first love."
Pop-dance
song "Pop? Pop!" from the debut EP is about 17-year-old females
expressing the strange yet wonderful sentiments of first love. It has a lyrical
melody, a strong bass line, and funky beats.
The
last four songs on the CD are "Euratcha," "Manito,"
"72.72Hz," and "Toi Et Moi."
Members
used phrases like "flower bud," "white drawing paper," and
"first page of youth movie" to characterize their debut album, noting
that it is the start of the group's musical career. The group's lone Japanese
member, Yuna, compared the debut EP to a "rainbow." "Each of our
charms is in the album, along with seven other hues," she continued.
Members
of CSR could not contain their enthusiasm for starting their musical careers.
Sua explained the act's different representations of "first love,"
which span from naïve to cool when questioned about the group's philosophy.
The group's vibrant stage energy, according to Sihyeon, is its most endearing
quality.
The
seven-piece act's debut was on Wednesday, so the members also discussed their
favorite K-pop artists. Sua, the band's leader, chose BTS because of its
excellent collaboration and enduring fan relationships.
The
other well-known performers the members cited as role models included IU,
HyunA, Taeyeon, and Ryujin of Itzy. Yuna claimed that she had an ambition of
becoming a successful K-pop performer like BoA.
