K-Pop Idols with Acting Skills That Astound Fans

The globe over, K-Pop idols are renowned for being fantastic performers in general. They are capable of rapping, singing, and dancing to some of the trickiest choreographers. However, some even try their hand at acting, like BTS' V with Hwarang, and others absolutely go headfirst into the industry, such as Miss A's Bae Suzy. Fans certainly keep track of all the dramas and films that their favourite idols appear in. The phenomenon of idols becoming actors is not a recent one. In light of that, the following K-Pop stars are some of the best actors ever:

1) IU

The "Nation's Sweetheart" and one of the most well-known and recognised solo K-Pop idols, started her acting career by playing the series' main character, Lee Soon Shin, in You're the Best. Since then, IU has made an effort to better herself with each drama she has landed, and she is now renowned as the actress who can make the audience experience the emotions of her characters. And she accomplishes this while always dressing quite stylishly.

Fans were astonished by IU's performance in My Mister since they had no idea that she would take on a unique, darker part and perform at the calibre of the cast's senior actors. Fans are happy that IU took on this serious role despite almost not doing so since they believe she portrayed Lee Ji-melancholy An's persona justice. The initial episode did spark controversy, but as the plot developed, viewers' empathy for IU's outstanding acting increased. While witnessing IU on the show try to hold back emotions following her conversation with her grandmother in the nursing home, hearts were sure to break. She also gave outstanding performances in Hotel Del Luna and Scarlet Hearts: Moon Lovers Ryeo. Both series were in need of an actress who could play a complex main character with great depth, and IU was the ideal candidate because she always left the audience wanting more. Fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the actress astound them once more with the movie Broker, which was accepted into the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

2) Jisoo

Jisoo, one of the four members of the well-known K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK, made her acting debut opposite Jung Hae-In in the popular drama Snowdrop in 2021. The unrivalled chemistry between Jung Hae-In and Jisoo was one of the reasons the drama was favourably welcomed around the world. In addition to the chemistry, Jisoo's debut left a great impression on the fans. For the first part of the drama, she played the "bubbly mood creator" role of Eun Young-Ro, shocking viewers in the process. She conveyed her role with a level of emotional power that moved viewers to tears. Fans were not expecting a rookie actress to have such intense compassion for the wrongfully detained captives while standing up for what was right. Jisoo's co-star Jung Hae-In is alleged to have added that Jisoo has a strong work ethic and the ability to land more lead roles in the future.

3) Bae Suzy

Bae Suzy, a former Miss A member, made her acting debut in the drama Dream High in 2011. She has since acted in numerous other plays, but she is best recognised for her outstanding turn in Uncontrollably Fond. The actress's charming and natural charisma have earned her the title of "Nation's First Love."

For the actress, her roles as Lee Yumi/Anna in Anna (2022) and Seo Dal-Mi in Start-Up (2020) have changed the game. Bae Suzy has demonstrated her versatility by portraying these two polar opposite personas with ease. Seo Dal-Mi is a cheerful and devoted young woman who matures and gains wisdom as Start-Up goes on. Bae Suzy, however, plays two characters in Anna: one as the impoverished Lee Yumi, and the other as Anna, her alter ego. Bae Suzy's fame has been furthered by accolades for her ability to make viewers accept the contrast between her roles. Her and Lee Seung-on-screen Gi's connection in Vagabond earned them both the SBS Drama Award for Best Couple in 2019.

4) Park Hyung-Sik

Park Hyung-Sik, a member of the boy band ZE: A, is the most attractive idol-turned-actor in the business. The actor originally gained over fans with his role as King Sam Meok-Jeong, the second lead in the film Hwarang, opposite Park Seo-Joon and BTS's V. Fans adored his facial expressions and nuanced character interpretation, and he was regarded as the only actor on the programme who could flawlessly carry off long hair wigs.

Because of his on-screen connection with Park Bo-Young, who plays An Min-Hyuck in Strong Girl Do Bong-Soon, many people adore him in this part. This was his first main role. In this performance, he demonstrated his ability for future main roles by convincingly portraying the zany CEO An Min-Hyuck. Hyung-Sik, who had finished his military service, recently played the lead in the zombie drama Happiness. Fans of the heartthrob are eagerly anticipating further performances by him because of his more mature approach, charm, and muscular frame. Han So-Hee and two of his best pals fall in love in his most recent film, Soundtrack #1 (2022), making them arguably the most attractive on-screen couple.

5) Yook Sung Jae

Yook Sung-Jae, a member of the well-known boy band BTOB, made his acting debut in Monstar (2013) as a member of the supporting cast. Since then, he has appeared in a few K-Dramas, but his supporting role in Goblin (2016) changed everything. Yook Sung-Jae, who portrays Yoo Daek-Hwa, a man with a secret identity, did the role amazing credit by giving him a lot of depth. He was able to hone his acting skills and provide a standout performance with the assistance and guidance of his more experienced co-stars.

Sung-Jae just won the lead role of the endearing Kang Bae in Mystic Pop-up Bar (2020). Sung-unwavering Jae's charisma and sweetness, according to fans, made him the ideal choice for the role of Kang Bae since he drew viewers in right away. Fans eagerly anticipate a new season to witness the innocent yet heartwarming Kang Bae ready to win them over once more. Additionally, Yook Sung-most Jae's recent project, a drama version of the webcomic Golden Spoon, provides fans with additional doses of sweetness.

6) Krystal

Krystal Jung, a member of the well-known girl group f(x), has established herself as the most adaptable actor in the business. She made her acting debut in the 2010 sitcom More Charming by the Day, and subsequent parts in Heirs and She's So Lovable helped to establish her as a prospective lead actor.

The ability of Jung to chameleon-like blend into each of her characters gives viewers the impression that they are watching a real-life person. She played the wise and true Ji-Ho in Prison Playbook, perfectly capturing the mannerism needed to make viewers want a Ji-Ho in their lives. In the 2020 movie More than Family, she played a noteworthy character. By demonstrating the resilience and emotional maturity of the pregnant 21-year-old, Krystal does justice to the character of Kim To-Il and draws viewers into the narrative from start to finish.

One of the biggest mysteries in the entire series was her part as Moo-Ra in The Bride of Habaek, and Krystal did a fantastic job interpreting the cryptic character. Fans must wait impatiently for the plot to unfold and for Moo-Ra to be revealed, given the air of mystery that surrounds her. In her most recent drama, Crazy Love (2022), she co-stars with Kim Jae-Wook and delivers a swoon-worthy performance.
