#VeereDiWedding has been making headlines since its release on June 01, 2018! Not because it’s the film with third highest opening collection in 2018 but because of its content and the queen of controversies Swara Bhaskar. It’s not the first time that Swara Bhasker has been the target of the troll army, troll and Swara seem to be made for each other.
Swara Bhaskar has been trolled by Twitterati for her on screen masturbation in the film. She has been fighting Twitter war against not only Indians but Pakistanis also for being ‘vulgar’ and for hurting the feelings of ‘sanskari’ females and their culture!
Swara has been taking the trolls head on and been very active in replying to their abusive, absurd and moral policing related tweets. One user has tweeted about her Grandmother not liking the Veere Di Wedding for its inappropriate language and masturbation scene because it’s not very ‘Hindustani’ according to her.
Swara Bhaskar has been receiving a good amount of support also on Twitter (@ReallySwara). The support is coming from netizens, her co actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Shikha Talsania and other friends from Bollywood which include Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Atul Mohan, Nikhil Advani etc. and many more.
The performance of Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in Veere Di Wedding has been winning accolades from critics as well as audience but some moral policing groups seem to be disturbed by the language and on screen masturbation by Swara Bhasker.
The movie has been doing very well on box office and has become the third highest opening film of 2018.
Whether it’s the performance of Swara Bhasker or her co actors Kareena Kapoor/ Sonam Kapoor/Shikha Talsania or whether it’s the opening collection of Veere Di Wedding, iChhori is impressed with the way this movie has come out and has created a niche for itself. When it is a ‘Hero’ oriented movie, the foul language becomes the ‘cult language’ and dialogues are branded as ‘crowd puller’ but if same language is used by the ‘female lead’ all the hypocrites come out of their graves and start trolling the performers!
By the way since when the ‘sanskari’ people have become non sexual? Why females discussing sex in movies is immoral? and the direct question is, is there anything unnatural in masturbation?
You decide who is ‘anti-India or anti sanskari culture’, a free and creative art performer or the ones who pen down filth against actors on social media platforms!
